If I am honest, the 2 best highlift blondes I've ever used (despite all the other stuff I love in certain brands) are Wella Koleston 12.1 and L'Oreal Maji.Blonde 900S. I've never found anything to beat them.

Matrix ULA is very good, but as you said, it can go a little blue if it touches any previously lifted hair. Remember, the UL series is for base 6 only. Use 11 for level 7 and higher in Matrix.

in terms of cool blondes nothing can beat KP especially the 12/89
loreal is good also and has improved and reduced in the amount of warmth thrown and the fact you can use 30vol is good too, fudge headpaint also has good highlifts that are fairly cheap compared to more highend like wella and loreal and give an almost kp result

I have found the best results, so far, with Joico HLA. I'll use a little of the violet corrector in it too, to get rid of any brassiness. It's basically a perfect cool platinum color.

With a base 2 i wouldn't do it,as i cant see how it can come a ash blonde .Your trying to lift about 9 levels, best your going to get is aronnd a 8 or 9 level with alot of warmth in.If you do decide to do it, i would use bleach and 20 vol at back, bleach and 30 vol sides, bleach and 40 vol top section, pick a caramel shade add base colour depending on ammount of white hair use 30 vol,cos you need some lift and she is so dark.keep checking back sections as they will have been on a while whilst you was foiling, if there resdy but top is not rince out the back and leave sides and top to develop.HTH.x
