Post subject : Hair Build up
Hi Evereyone, I have recently gone back to hairdressing after a 10 year break so I am re-learning so to speak, I have been colouring a clients hair for a few months, using wella koleston 5/0 doing her roots every 6 weeks, but what has happened now is that she has a build up on her lengths and ends and is too dark, she wanted some red streaks in it to tone it down, but I cannot get any red to take, I have tried using some goldwell shades, mahogany, dark mahogony, garret and aubogene with 20 vol peroxide and not one of them is taking! what am I doing wrong here ? Is there too much build up or should I be using higer strength peroxide, can anyone help?
