Ohh Lisaleo
So sorry to hear that. OUCH!

Curiosity...how in the world did you stab yourself? :o
Most Shears are blunt ended..

Wait until you nip someones ear with them..those ears just don't stop bleeding. :

Jazz is right, ears are awful if you nip them, just tell them 'never mind, you have another one'
If its any consolation, my left hand has battlescars from snippets. It happens most when I switch scissors for 5 1/2 to 7 inch. yikes, I have a scar on my middle knuckle where I cut mtself and just as it was healing, I did again in the same place!
That was a long time ago, the trick is to make a swift 'pulling away' movement as you cut the hair.
Congratulations, it is official, you are a paid up member of the cut and slice mob.

Yay...I'm part of the club!!! The worst thing was I wasnt even cutting....I was getting my scissors out of my locker, I turned to put them down and didnt move my right hand..I just dug them straight in!!! Muppet!!!Dug them right in my thumb knuckle, they hit the bone and slid down my thumb (thats the doctors theory anyway...ewww)

Ouch ouch ouch!!!!!

You should go into writing horror novels as a career Lisa! :devil

We have a guy called Andy who is a trainee with us in our colour studio and he did something similar last year. Despite being told not to spin around on the salon chairs ever (never mind with tools in his hand) he ignored our advice.

During a colour lesson with our manager on foil highlights, he spun round so fast in his chair that it wobbled and fell over. The metal pin-tail comb he had been using for highlights ended up planted securely in his left forearm. :o

It just missed the main vein by a hairs width (so the doctor said at the hospital)!

Anyone else with any minor/major injuries?

Oh, and the ear thing...that's so true. I love Sparks' reply to that! ;D

Another thing that hurts (apparantly) is when you lose the filter from the back of your hairdryer and your client's hair gets sucked in through the back and pulled into the rotating motor; she looked like she was in a lot of pain anyway. :B
