Mad professor!
by goodlife 2 Years, 1 Month ago I have just finished experimenting with ISO semi-perminant perm(thio free).
Since the directions say that it lasts up to 20 washes i used it on myself (before any clients) Just to test it out. Of course i used the one for tinted hair, I rolled it with fabric (rags) into 4 sections left it on for 12 mins and then rinsed (holding my breath) OMG it looked good ! just a little more wave and body than my hair naturally has. So this got me thinking what if we put this on VERY curly hair? would it temp relax it? The worst it could do is nothing right? Yesterday my client came in with her 13yr old daughter who has the curlyest hair in the world (for a white girl I applyed the product (which is very much like mousse) to wet hair, this time using the normal/resistant product. She processed for 12 mins (which was like 5 hours for a 13yr old!) and.... TA DAAA it relaxed her curl! Her hair was wavy and a lot more managable than before. This has lots of potential, 2 clients witnessed this and booked appointments for themselves. Lets face it perms are (most of the time) horrible. The temporary element is appealing especially if its for relaxing too because its less of a commitment and it dosn't fry it. The only downside is it still smells like a perm but only half as bad! I would not use this on damaged hair. My next venture is doing dreads with it.

Re: Mad professor! by SophieA 2 Years, 1 Month ago Hi goodlife, sounds interesting ...are you familiar with the Iso Neo? They just discontinued it...no neutralizer needed. I understand that this semi-permanent perm is a no Neutralizer also..??
I have not tried it. Give us the update on how your hair feels in a couple of months...and would you go ahead and use it again right after 20 washes...?? How many time could you use this perm on hair if someone really liked it...I suppose you would switch to a more permanent permanent.

I will suggest it next time she is in. ...are you familiar with the Iso Neo? They just discontinued it... SophieA: Why did they discontinue it. When it first came out, I used it on a few clients. Worked nice but the smell was not so pleasant. And it lingered on the hair no matter how long you rinsed. What are the ISO styling products like? chris: Iso Bouncy creme is a cats meow. I love the stuff for natural curly hair. Their other products are nice also. I guess it just depends on what you are looking for in product. Email and ask for a sample pack for you to try at home. I am sure they would send you some. Jazz~
