Crusing the net looking for some infor on BR-ing. Came upon this site, I did-not know that we hairdresser's have a forum. Wonderfull!!!!!!!!!!I have been a br for 3 yrs and did not know the req other than get a B/Lic & your own supplies, I do carry SDI, which came in handy when I had carbo/T surg on my hand. Is the current owner suppose to carry W/C or am I, how about Liability/Malp? This is the same shop I owned for 25 yrs, that my partner & I sold to a L-HD, due to medical issue's she sold it to a non-HD. It is very hard to watch the shop go into a negative path. Since I will be retiring in a couple of years, I still want to be in compl with the law. Any infor would be app. thank's ahead of time.

HI there. If you are boothrenting you need to carry all the liablity / mal etc yourself the same as the owner of the salon does also. It is both your responsiblities. You as a boothrenter are a small business owner. I would check your state laws on it as every state is somewhat different. BTW..Welcome!

Thank You ladies, I have to tell you that I have only worked in 3 salon's in my 45 yrs of pratice,6 yrs in one,10 yrs in another, then we made the move to buy our own, after 28 yrs in this shop, it is truly home. I have the same customers that I had in the second shop, some over 30 yrs. I enjoy my seniors, since I have become one myself, but, I still enjoy learning about our trade. I do highlights, not many, but,I do them. I like to learn about new products. The new owner has brought in a younger crew, which I silently question if their license, I see every sanitation rule being broken. Comb's and brushes not cleaned, dropped on floor then used on clients. Fire Marshall came in, she is not in compliance with ADA and OSCHA regulations. There are 4 BR'ers, I told them that I would investigate & see what we needed to have.We would not hesitate to move if we found a place to place at least 3 of us. I know that my clients would follow, but,I need to know all their is about BR"ing. NINA
